If you’re looking for information on natural remedies on how to shrink hemorrhoids that you can download and use immediately, then you’ve come to the right place.

Before I tell you more, let me vent a little frustration…

Hemorrhoid Cures Online Are A RIP-OFF!

Natural RemediesCheck out this screenshot I took on the typical cost of hemorrhoid cure systems I found when searching the net recently.

I’m not going to name the websites where I gathered these typical pricing plans, all I’ll say is that it’s disappointing people will charge so much for these pricing plans when there are better natural alternatives for a fraction of the price.

Would You Like To Know How To Shrink Hemorrhoids?

Many people wonder how to naturally treat and shrink their hemorrhoids because they can be very uncomfortable, especially chronic constipation!

When hemorrhoids swell and become inflamed they can cause a lot of pain.  If you have been suffering from them for long, you have probably tried many remedies that may or may not have worked.

It’s great that there is a variety of remedies that anyone can try.  Some of them your doctor can help you with, and others can be done naturally with what you already have in your home, like taking a sitz bath for instance.

Home Remedies For Hemorrhoids

If you want piles to shrink and become less painful, you will have to reduce the swelling and irritation of the blood vessels in the anus.  Here are some home remedies that have been proven to help:

  • Ice Packs: It is common knowledge that ice can reduce swelling and pain.  Doctors have used if for years and recommend that their patients try it.  By using ice packs frequently throughout the day, it is possible to reduce swelling and pain in the anal area.
  • Witch Hazel: Most pharmacies have Witch Hazel on hand for purchase.  This is a clear liquid that is applied to the affected area using a cotton ball.  It will not only soothe the area, but it can help stop bleeding from hemorrhoids.
  • Traditional over-the-counter medicines: There are numerous creams or lotions available to use for external hemorrhoids.  You can also find suppositories to treat and possibly alleviate the swelling of internal hemorrhoids.
  • Horse Chestnut: For centuries, people have relied on horse chestnut to relieve the swelling of hemorrhoids.  Today, you can find it in capsule form or it can be consumed in tea form.  It has been reported to help reduce the size of swollen blood vessels.  It is always advisable to speak with your doctor before using this product.

Medical Intervention For Hemorrhoids

There are several treatment options that are offered by doctors when you are unable to manage hemorrhoids alone.  Here are some of them:

  • Prescription Medications: The first course of treatment offered by doctors when their patients present with painful hemorrhoids is to recommend over-the-counter preparations such as suppositories or creams.  Some of these are quite effective.
  • Rubber Band Ligation: During this procedure, a small rubber band is stretched around the hemorrhoid root to prevent blood from flowing through it to shrink and make it disappear.
  • Infrared Coagulation: This procedure forces hemorrhoids to shrink by coagulating the blood inside the vessel to stop its flow.  In effect, this kills the hemorrhoid.
  • Hemorrhoidectomy: This is the treatment that is only used when all else fails. It is a surgery that removes the offending hemorrhoid.

While these certainly are some of the most common treatments for hemorrhoids, there are other more natural methods that should be tried before the more invasive procedures described above.

When you remember that surgery cannot be reversed, and some medications can have a deleterious effect on the body, it should inspire you to try the natural route to healing.

Natural Remedies For Hemorrhoids

While I was disappointed in the pricing of the treatment plans shown above, I was also surprised at the lack of quality hemorrhoid natural remedies guides on the net.

I did eventually stumble across a good solution however… it’s not free, but it’s a fraction of the price of the methods shown above and the quality is excellent.

It is the Hemorrhoid Miracle which may surprise you by how effective a 48 hour cure actually is!

It’s not free, but it is very affordable and definitely the best value for money I’ve found so far.

I would like to thank you for the efforts you have put in writing this blog. For the two years that I have had hemorrhoids, I’ve tried every over the counter product there is including prep H, vaseline, Desitin, etc. But all these products only give temp relief of burning and/or itching.. What can you suggest??

    • Lionel says:

      Try this:
      1. In the morning everyday until the problem is gone you need to take a glass of warm water and dissolve 1tsp of cayenne pepper and drink it down.
*Cayenne pepper works from the inside out by relieving swelling and inflammation in veins and is proven to restore vein elasticity to that of a youthful state with continued daily use.
      2. For external hemorrhoids I have found that taking equal parts (about 1oz) of witch hazel & apple cider vinegar & crushing one whole clove of garlic into a paste & combining all three together & soaking it into either a cotton ball or gauze pad & leaving this in-between your butt cheeks all day forces them to shrink & relieves the pain & irritation throughout the day. I tried it without garlic and it wasn’t effective. it helped a little bit once garlic was added it made all the difference!! It will burn to begin with but it will be well worth the burn once you wake up on the 3rd day & notice your hemorrhoids almost gone!
      3. Also, I take one garlic clove and partially slice it into three sections and lubricate it with aloe vera gel and use it as a suppository nightly. This is particularly helpful if you have internal hemorrhoids or your hemorrhoids are advanced as mine are and cause a sticky odorless discharge to come out of the anus. This discharge will irritate the hemorrhoids and prolong the healing time. Since garlic kills bacteria it will ensure that most of the discharge that continues to come out is as free of bacteria as possible.
      4. Another thing that helps is to use baby wipes & squeeze all of the liquid out of them and soak them in witch hazel for use after going to the bathroom. DO NOT USE TOILET PAPER! IT WILL IRRITATE THE INFLAMED TISSUE & LEAVE YOU UNCLEAN! You need this area to be rid of bacteria to promote healing. Since most witch hazel you find comes with 14% alcohol this is great at relieving the pain, swelling & killing the bacteria after bowel movements.
      Hope this helps…

  2. Sheila M says:

Hi Lionel, can you please tell me if my hemorrhoid problem will go away on their own?

    • Lionel says:

The short answer Shelia is, probably not, at least not without help. The longer answer is that hemorrhoids are a chronic condition and it is nearly impossible for them to heal without taking at least a few simple steps to aid them. Hope this helps!
