February 6, 2013

Have ever suffered with the condition clinically called hemorrhoids which is also known as piles?  If this is of interests to you, then you’ve come to the right place as I share some vital tips and experiences!

In answering “what are hemorrhoids” we need to firstly understand that every human being have blood veins inside their anal canal which control and help stools excrete.  Normally, these veins fill with blood in order to provide assistance with bowel movements.

How to Get Rid of HemorrhoidsBut, if you strain when passing a stool, especially constipation, even more blood rushes to the veins in your anal canal triggering swelling and inflammation, and if persistent, results in a condition conventionally referred to as hemorrhoidse.

The reason you have swelling and inflammation is due therefore to the increase of pressure and strain on your rectal veins.  However, suffering with the condition of hemorrhoids is usually not life-threatening, although it can be very distressing, painful and impact your ability to pass stools and way of life.

They can be either external or internal, once internal hemorrhoids become swell and extend they may protrude outside your anus becoming prolapsed, causing pain and bleeding which if not treated can lead to more serious complications.

  • Vital Tip#1: Gels, Ointments and Creams; you can apply anytime, they are usually safe and provide a soothing influence on the actual tissue itself.  Disadvantages of these are that they provide only temporary relief as apposed of treating the root – when the soothing wares off your symptoms may flare up once again.
  • Vital Tip#2: Pills and Capsules; helps to regulate a healthy flow of blood and assist with your digestive process.  Disadvantages of these are that they require regular ingesting to maintain an effective digestive track so relieving any rectal area strain – does little to cure your actual problem.
  • Vital Tip#3: Surgery; will resolve your problem quickly, however you may suffer excruciating pain and adverse invasive side-effects – may require post-surgery treatment and flare-ups may make further operations unavoidable.
  • Vital Tip#4: Cryotheraphy; helps shrinking of the tissue by decreasing blood circulation involving freezing the hemorrhoid so reducing pain and inflammation – can damage your rectal nerve endings and even cause risk of leakage.

These 4 remedies are the most commonly used, although there are of course a host of other successful treatments available, such as relaxing sitz baths.  You can avoid hemorrhoid pitfalls with these 6 self-care tips, watch it now…

Hi, I’m sure that I have an external hemorrhoid. After having bad constupation a small bump showed up on the entrance of my annus. It was red and hurt, but I’ve been taking herbs and using creams to sooth it. At this point it doesnt hurt or even bother me, but I would like to know if I should I pay a visit to a doctor? Thanks for your help.

Hi Michael, you need to take good care of it. I would also add fiber into your diet, drink 6-8 glasses of water daily and exercise regularly. If your symptoms deteriorate in anyway it may help to have your doctor to take a look at it. Remember smaller problems have easier fixes that larger ones…

Hello, can you tell me What happens if I ignore them?

    • Reply Lionel May 29, 2013 at 11:35 am

Hi Debbie, Ignoring your hemorrhoids won’t be the end of the world, unless, of course, what you have is actually something like colon cancer instead. Assuming that you do have hemorrhoids, however, ignoring them will only bring a worsening of the condition over time. Eventually, you will regret the decision as more and more symptoms begin to affect you every hour of the day.
